Veteran ID Cards
Any veteran who records their DD214 with our office and who was discharged from service with any distinction except dishonorable can obtain a Veteran Identification Card from the Scioto County Recorder's Office. This card is a valid form of identification by the State of Ohio and displays a photograph of the veteran, military service dates, and other pertinent information regarding the veteran's service to our country. This card contains the veteran's specific document number so that his or her DD214 record can be rapidly located when needed. The Veteran ID Card is provided free of charge.
In order to receive a Veteran Identification Card, veterans must record their DD214 document with the Scioto County Recorder's Office and show two forms of current and valid identification. Acceptable forms of identification are listed below:
